Re: Ontap OS installation FAS2040

Hi,

You should move the existing root volume to an aggregate on 2TB disks:

Re: Ontap OS installation FAS2040

Hi,

I have FAS2040 with 2 controller and 1 DS4243 with SAS 300gb * 16

FAS2040 is not having Internal Disk,  Need to install ONTAP 8.1 RC3 active / active config.

Please share the installation procedure.

Regards,

Kals.

Re: Ontap OS installation FAS2040

From your myautosupport you can get a detailed procedure by selecting "upgrade advisor" where you specify current and new release you will upgrade to.

Re: Ontap OS installation FAS2040

Scott,

Thanks for your reply!!

I missed to mention. This is new box.  Yet to start the implementation.

Re: Ontap OS installation FAS2040

There are install and upgrade PDF in the ontap docs. For a new install you don't have to worry about ndu but can still do it. I would setup the box on the default ontap. Then run the "software update xxxx" command to upgrade.
