Fresh Install of Snap Creator Server and Agent on Windows

You can install the Snap Creator Server on Windows by using the Windows Installer

Fresh Install of Snap Creator Server and Agent on UNIX

extract the .gz file (example: tar -xvf Snap_Creator_Community_Release_4.1.0c-Linux64.tar.gz)

from the extracted directory, cd scServer*

chmod 755 snapcreator

./snapcreator --setup

from the extracted directory, cd scAgent*

./snapcreator --setup

Once installed, you may access Snap Creator server on below URL

https://hostname:8443

Upgrading from Snap Creator 3.6.x

1) Make a backup of the original 3.6.x install directory (including configs, db and logs)

2) Install Snap Creator 4.1

3) Delete Snap Creator 4.1 database under scServer4.1c/engine/snapcreator directory

4) Copy the backed up profiles

cp scServer3.6.x/engine/configs/* scServer4.1c/engine/configs

cp scServer3.6.x/gui/snapcreator/* scServer4.1c/engine/snapcreator

cd scServer4.1c/engine

java -jar snapcreator.jar -upgrade

start the snapcreator server once the upgrade is completed.

Upgrading from Snap Creator 4.0.x

1) Make a backup of the original 4.0.x install directory (including configs, db and logs)

2) Install Snap Creator 4.1

3) Delete Snap Creator 4.1 database under scServer4.1c/engine/snapcreator directory

4) Copy the backed up profiles

cp scServer4.0.x/engine/configs scServer4.1c/engine/configs

cp scServer4.0.x/engine/snapcreator scServer4.1c/engine/snapcreator

cd scServer4.1c/engine

java -jar snapcreator.jar -upgrade

start the snapcreator server once the upgrade is completed.
