Hi

Re: Implementation of Snapmanager for SAP in windows 2008 // NFS Datastore presented in VM

yes, it does. Refer SnapManager 3.0 for SAP Installation and Administration Guide

A FlexClone license is required to take full advantage of SnapManager with NFS databases. SnapManager uses the FlexClone feature to accomplish these tasks: • Mount backups of NFS databases • Verify backups of NFS databases • Clone NFS databases on page 264. Refer page 37 shows FCP, iSCSI, NFS protocols as supported.

Hi Sahana,

I have reffered which you have shared document in page 37, NFS/NFS datastore is support only UNIX environment.

IMT matrix also showing only FC/ISCSI protocols if you select the windows host NFS protocol grade out.

Please let us know whether VMDK file ie NFS datastore support or not for SMSAP.

if it is support could you please share Matrix and installation procedure.

Note: If using NFS, ensure the file systems are mounted as

recommended in NetApp™ Best Practice Guidelines for

Oracle® at http://media.netapp.com/documents/tr-3369.pdf
