Michele,

Generally speaking it should be, but we cannot be sure without the particulars.

You would need to check the interoperability matrix to check your exact versions.

I use a very similar configuration daily for my test environment.

Hope this helps,

John

Dear John,

now I have a complete overview on the scenario:

VMWare Vsphere  (NFS DATASTORE)

Virtual W2K8 R2 with Lotus Domino  (with Snap Creator Domino Plug In)

Is SINGLE-FILE RESTORE supported?

Regardless compatibility version (I can check it later) , I found in documentation the follow: SINGLE FILE RESTORE OPERATIONS ONLY WORK WITH NFS PROTOCOL. (TR-4009). So I presume it works only on Linux environment.

Thanks for your cooperation!!!!!

Michele,

I need to update this TR, but I am planning to do so with Snap Creator 4.0 which should be released in early April.

As of Snap Creator 3.6 there is an action in Snap Creator called custom that allows you to perform restore operations outside of Snap Creator's normal workflow.

With this action you are able to perform single file restores, but there are a few manual steps that must be taken along the way.

This information is covered in the Installation and Administration Guide for Snap Creator - I believe that the section is titled Single File Restore in a SAN environment.

There is also a video available that walks you through the steps:  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_1F7MHpaLTY

The video is about 11.5 minutes long - if only covers this one topic.

Other videos are available on the same YouTube channel: http://www.youtube.com/SnapCreatorTV

Hope this helps!

John

Thanks John for your quick response.

I'll check, of course, the IMT for exact compatibility.

Thanks again!
