Community Terminology

What is a Label?

Labels are used within the Discussions, Blogs and Article and Resource areas of the community to help categorize and organize content within each section.

What is a Kudo?

Kudos is a content rating system that lets you like posts you think are useful or important.

By giving kudos, you are showing your appreciation for good content. Receiving kudos on your content, signals other members value that content. Your kudos help to boost the value of certain messages and enhance the reputation of their authors. You cannot kudo your own content.

What is an Accepted Solution?

Accepted Solutions is a way for you to choose the reply that best answers a question that you've posted. When you accept a solution, both the question and the solution get a green check mark and links that take you directly from the question to the solution.

Accepted Solutions icons appear throughout the Discussion areas.

You can mark a post as an Accepted Solution only for discussions that you've posted.

What is a Tag?

A tag is a single keyword or phrase that describes the topic, theme, or subject of a post. You can add as many tags as you want and so can other community members. Be sure to use commas between tags.

What is “Me Too”?

Me Too is a type of rating that enables Community users to signal that they also have the same question or opinion expressed in a post. This rating type helps eliminate redundant posts on a board, while still signaling that the issue is important to other users.

What is an Article?

Articles, within Articles and Resources areas, are vetted NetApp documentation that captures and organizes helpful information about specific topics. These pieces of documentation are moderated and only NetApp employees are able to create articles.

What is an RSS Feed?
