Aggregate creation... ending up with too many spares...

OnTap 8.0.1RC2

I had a 14 disk shelf added to the head and wanted to create a new 64-bit aggregate... ran the following from the CLI:

agg create SATA2 -B 64 -r 16 SATA 12

which I believed would add 12 disks to the aggregate (10d+2p) and leave 2 of the 14 disks as spares... yet I ended up with 3 spares. Just curious if I'm interepreting the command correctly or am I overlooking something.

TIA
