Hello Friends ,

I have got a request from OS team ,of removing volumes as they removed unmuounted the FS from their solaris machine ,they procvided me the below output ..

nlvocl2.root.sh# df -h |grep BIOSACC

nas02-data:/vol/cus00013001_ora_biosacc   5.0G   3.1G   1.9G    62%    /oradata/BIOSACC

nas01-data:/vol/orarch101/BIOSACC   249G   157M   249G     1%    /flash/recovery_area/BIOSACC

**********************************************************************************************************************

when I used the above output from their end , and searched in my netapp filer ,I got the below 2 volumes ,

nlvs033> df -Vg /vol/cus00013001_ora_biosacc

Filesystem               total       used      avail capacity  Mounted on

/vol/cus00013001_ora_biosacc/        5GB        3GB        1GB      61%  /vol/cus00013001_ora_biosacc/

snap reserve               0GB        0GB        0GB     ---%  /vol/cus00013001_ora_biosacc/..

nlvs033>

nlvs032> df -Vg /vol/orarch101/BIOSACC

Filesystem               total       used      avail capacity  Mounted on

/vol/orarch101/          470GB      225GB      244GB      48%  /vol/orarch101/

snap reserve               0GB        0GB        0GB     ---%  /vol/orarch101/..

I thought of deleting above 2 volumes , but then I just asked the OS time to double check that it is the only FS vol/orarch101/BIOSACC  on volume /vol/orarch101 , and I safed myself by not deleting vol /vol/orarch101, PFA output from OS team of FS on volume ,and suggest what that means ,Thanks in advacne..

Hi Sachin,

The request like that, I always to remove these 2 volumes from the /etc/exports file first, then exportfs -r.

Wait for a few days, if no one complains, then I can safely delete those 2 volumes.

Make sense?

Thanks

Glen
