Import of vFiler based SnapVault-relationships to Protection Manager

Hi all,

we have problems importing manually created snapvault relationships into the Protection Manager (OnCommand 5.0). We created the snapvault relationship in a vfiler context (Source Filer = vfiler0, Destination Filer = vfiler_xy) and the initial transfer is successfully done on the Ontap CLI.

- vfiler context vfiler_xy

- snapvault start -S sourcefiler_ip:/vol/vol1/qtree1 vfiler_xy:/vol/vol2/qtree2

Problem: They don't appear under "External relationsships" in the Protection Manager.

Questions:

- Has anybody ever imported a vfiler-based relationship?

- Has anybody ever imported an ip-based relationship?

Re: Import of vFiler based SnapVault-relationships to Protection Manager

Adai is the expert at this, but I think the issue is the vfiler as a target... for snapvault the target needs to be vfiler0.  The volume can be in a vfiler but the relationship needs to be to vfiler0.  This should be fixed in 8.1 but not sure if PM adds support for a vfiler as a target yet.
