Is it possible to download Simulate ONTAP VMs as a non-customer?

I am looking to support one of our customers experiencing performance issues with cDOT 8.3.

Our device stores its data on a network share provided by the NetApp cluster. For some reason there are serious slowdowns affecting our product that do not appear to be affecting other devices at the site.

It looks like it might be possible to simulate the setup at the site using Simulate ONTAP in VMWare Workstation. However I am not able to access the downloads section for this as a 'community' user (non-customer).

Is there any way for me to get hold of it? If not, what level of purchase from NetApp would be necessary in order to provide access to the VM download? (and would it even allow me to simulate to some degree what this site are experiencing?

Thanks in advance for any help provided.

No, you have to be a registered customer to access support.netapp.com.

I'm not sure what level of purchase is needed - you may be able to get access with an inexpensive purchase of Cloud ONTAP ?

The simulator problem would not accurately model the client environ to troubleshoot their performance problem.

I hope this response has been helpful to you.

Thank you for taking the time to help. I will look into Cloud ONTAP.

Despite not being an accurate simulation, it might help us identify the cause of the issue.
