I am starting to utilise more of VSC to administer our NetApp storage rather than use Oncommand operations Manager as I understand that involves a lot more tasks.
We utilise FCP LUNs and not NFS to present storage from our NetApp FAS arrays to VMware. Will we see value in installing the VAAI plugin on our ESX hosts and VSC/vCentre server.
I am aware that tasks such as performing Storage vMotion can be offloaded straight to the storage with out VMware involvement. As we use FCP do we already see this benefit or do we need the VAAI plugin?
Any feedback on this would be most appreciated.

you need to install VAAI if you want to use Copy Offload.
If you want to check which functions are supported please refer to:
