Hello everyone

We are trying to use OnCommand plug-in (previously ApplianceWatch ) for only monitoring our filers.

We don't want to give administrator right to this users on our filers, only the ones needed for monitoring.

I try with the rights I find here for version 2.1.1, with no success.

Is there a list of role this user need to monitor filers and vfilers ?

Best regards

Regis

Hello Regis,

take a look on this thread :

https://communities.netapp.com/thread/10442

Please let me know if you get Appliance Watch running.

I am working on this the last few days and its driving me craczy... I can connect to the filer (via Scom) everything is fine,

but the scripts (getting data from files) are always failing.

I am working with Scom 2007 R2 CU 5 and a Fas 2040 with Ontap 7.3.6

I use this best practice guide, and it was working with appliance watch 2.1.1.

I keep the same rights for V3, without success.

I can use logon failure trace for the user scom to give step by step rights that are missing, but I don't want to miss one that will give alarms in sevral weeks on month...
