Snapshots don't appear after a migration of volume using SnapMirror

I have just used SnapMirror to migrate data from one SnapVault destination volume to another. When I check on the snapshots via the web interface they appear to be present, all the names are right and there's an appropriate size listed. However, when I mount the volume via NFS and go to the .snapshots directory I can descend into one of the snapshot directories, say sv_nigthly.6 but no data appears within that.

Is this some odd bug and I've missed a step or are my snapshots now broken?

You may want to open a case to get some attention on this, but as a first step, I'd use the hidden ls command from the ONTAP CLI and see if the controller sees it.  That should tell you if the data exists there and you're dealing with some kind of NFS issue (which would be my first educated guess).

netapp> priv set advanced

netapp*> ls /vol/<vol_name>/.snapshot/sv_nightly.6

When you're done:

netapp*> priv set

Thanks! You're quite right about being able to see them from the CLI using the 'ls' command. I'll have to remount the volume via NFS and determine if the data is then visible.
