Re: Used / Free Space difference between LUN (in Oncommand System Manager) and Host (Local Drive)

Hi,

This is because the lun see gigabyte as 1000 megabytes, rather than 1024 like windows reads it, as well as The file system (format of the hard drive; NTFS, Fat32) itself takes up space too.

if you want to get a disk size of 70GB, you need to create a netapp lun of size: 70x1024: 71680MB

good luck

Ariel

Hi

Please go thru complete snap shot , Problem is

Host : Local Driver  G: ( Lun /mbs_sql_snap)  Free Space is 62.7 GB Avalibale

But in On command System Manager

Same Lun : /mbs_sql_snap : Free Space is 1.6 GB Avalibale

why same LUN shows different figure.?
