VMware LUNs

Does anyone know how to clear this Status error:

Filer:
Version:
Status:
afnsatntapp1.afni.net
Data ONTAP Release 7.2.6.1

/vol/VMFS3 is full (using or reserving 100% of space and 0% of inodes, using 100% of reserve).

Here is the scenario of the LUN. It is a 251 GB Flex volume with a 250 GB LUN used for VMware.  We are not using snapshots either.  Also, what are the best practices for creating Volumes that will be used for VMware LUNs?

Thanks in advance for everyone's help.

Nick

Sounds like you may have enabled Space Reservation? I would uncheck this option, if so. You may also want to try starting with a slightly smaller LUN (or thin provision the volume and LUN.)

Hope this helps.

Thanks for the ideas.  I do have space reservations on.  How do you think that affects it?

I cleared the error by added a few extra gigs to the Volume.
