NetApp Developer Session - DB Backup Workflow with LUN Postprocessing

by New Contributor on ‎2012-06-29 02:03 AM

Thanks to Arda who outlined a database backup workflow with a decent LUN postprocessing. Why? The environment he dealt with interpretes a cloned LUN with a different ID as a new device and forces a time intensive scan operation. Thus he cloned the database and adjusted the LUN to make sure this scan process is not performed and a clone of this DB can be started without delays. The samples in this sessions make use of NMSDK and Perl to implement this automation.

Access his slides in the download section below and click the link for the recording.
