FAS2020:Luns not visible after takeover

Hi,

Ther's FAS 2020, ith controller1 sharing a few LUNs to a Windows machine. Controller2 is standby. Recently there was Controller replacement on Controller2. After the replacement

when cntrllr2 takes over cntrllr1, luns are not visible.

Adapter Type      State                  Status

---------------------------------------------------

  0a   target     CONFIGURED             online

  0b   initiator  CONFIGURED.            online

CNTRL02> fcadmin config

                  Local

Adapter Type      State                  Status

---------------------------------------------------

  0b   target     CONFIGURED             online

Need help, kindly let me know wat settings can i check to troubleshoot this issue.

Re: FAS2020:Luns not visible after takeover

Sounds a little like the change in the serial number of the new controller has changed the serial number of the LUN's (depends on how the upgrade was done see https://kb.netapp.com/support/index?page=content&id=1011538), or possibly that the WWNN or WWPN info has changed and the mapping back to the hosts via the SAN isnt right any more.

If you havent already done so, raise a P1 case with NetApp support.

Re: FAS2020:Luns not visible after takeover

Problem was solved after updating the WWPNs of new controller on to the SAN switch zones.

Guess the FE who replaced the controller forgot to do it.
