Is this cabling correct?

Hi Guys/Gals, first let me say that I'm not a NetApp expert (or even close) but I'm trying to learn and get my head around how it all works, having said this, I'm also not a complete dunce and have worked with mid-enterprise storage before.

So I have SSH'd into the two controllers of the FAS3140 that my company has and ran a "storage show shelf" command.  I got the following output (note I trimmed off quite a bit of excess that seemed unnecessary to this post) and from this, I hacked together a cabling diagram of how I see this all coming together (see attached for visual reference).

Does it look like my diagram matches the cabling layout that would exist on the FAS3140?  I cannot confirm this as the unit is in a datacenter far away so I have to go off the output from commands to get an idea of how the cabling has been done.

Also, if the cabling in my diagram is correct, does this reflect the way that NetApp recommend the cabling be done?  Are there any issues with the current cabling?

Happy to hear anyone's feedback on the current setup as it may be changed in the near future.

Cheers

Re: Is this cabling correct?

I took a quick glance at your diagram and it looked fine, but your best bet is to run the config advisor (aka wiregauge) against it.  You can download this from the utlity toolchest.

I manage filers remotely, too (three sites) and I understand.  All three installs had cabling problems initially.  On the last install, I had to ask the onsite people for cabling diagrams, closeup photos, etc. and the NetApp remote support people were not much help.  Finally I convinced NetApp to send someone onsite and he confirmed the shelves were miscabled.
