Add Support User for Incidents

by Frequent Contributor on ‎2013-03-22 02:54 AM

This is a workflow which is used during support incidents to create a special support user on a FAS array, which can then be used, for example, by external support personnel. The workflow could be easily modified to create other types of local accounts as well.

The workflow first requests approval from a member of a mailing list (generally storage management), then creates a named user (NTAPsupport is the default) and generates a random password (the complexity of the password can be modified at the moment within the command, not from the workflow). The password is then sent by e-mail to the workflow initiator.
