Command Example - Set CIFS Share ACL - vFiler DOT 8.0.x

Typically you would use the Certified Command of "Set CIFS Share ACL".  However if you need to set the ACLs for a vFiler with Data OnTap 8.0.x... the API's for CIFS Share ACLs were not ported to the vFilers.  This command will help to get around the DOT limitation.  Again, this command is only needed if the following is true:

  • You are updating the ACL's for vFilers
  • You are running DOT 8.0.x

Input parameters

  • Array name or IP address
  • vFiler name
  • Share Name
  • User or ADgroup
  • Access Level

WFA: 1.1.0.53.2 B6510
