The Pirate Pack for Storage Provisioning v1.0 - 2012-09-04

Following the footsteps of Jeremy Goodrum (author of The Pirate Pack for VMware, and an avid sheep expert), The Pirate Pack for Storage Provisioning includes workflows that can accomplish what most NetApp storage admins are tasked with on a daily basis whether they work for a large, medium or small organization. The storage provisioning workflows support all major access protocols (FCP, iSCSI, CIFS and NFS). Using storage virtualiztion (vFiler technology) is fully supported when using IP-based access protocols (iSCSI, CIFS and NFS).

For the VMware-integrated workflows to work, you need to ensure that the VMware Powershell toolkit is installed on the WFA server.

Also included is a MS Word document detailing the best practices (and tribal knowledge) for each type of Volume.

Note: The FCP workflows requires that Zoning be setup prior to execution.
