Hi Experts,

There is an option to SNAPVAULT 7MODE QTREE VOLs using System Manager 3.1.1 RC1. Question here is, This SnapVault relationship created using System Manager is the same as the one created out of DFM? if not, what are the differences. Please help.

Yes. It will be considered as an external relationship in DFM.

Thanks,

If your intention is to import the relationships into Protection Manager, be sure to avoid creating volume level SnapVaults as UM 5.x does not support those (the path ends with "/" instead of "/-").   You will want to create only Qtree level SnapVaults if you want UM to manage them later.  OCSM can create and manage both kinds,  but IIRC provides a warning message about the volume relationships not working in UM.

Kevin
