DFM migration (upgrade) from Solaris to Windows platform

Customer is using Operations Manager 3.4.1 on Solaris. He is now considering the migration from Solaris to Windows platform with DFM 3.8 ( or 3.7).

1. Backup dfm database on Solaris

2. Restore dfm database on Windows

Is this method supported? I can't find out good documentation about this.

Re: DFM migration (upgrade) from Solaris to Windows platform

Detailed steps and things to take care of during migration of DFM from Solaris to Windows/Linux is available in the release notes of DFM 3.8

under the section

Documentation corrections->Documentation corrections to the Installation and Upgrade Guide

As "Migrating the DataFabric Manager database from Solaris to Linux or Windows"

Re: DFM migration (upgrade) from Solaris to Windows platform

I did my migration from Solaris to Linux, but stayed on dfm 3.7.1 for now, last week and backup / restore is as documented in the release notes the method to use.

Re: DFM migration (upgrade) from Solaris to Windows platform

Just to note it here as well (and I'm assuming it's what prompted the question), as of Operations Manager 3.8 Solaris is no longer supported (Windows and Linux are the only options).
