Enumerating HBA Firmware

Hi guys,

I am trying to find out how to see what my HBA firmware adaptors are on ESX. We run VC but i am unable to see the firmware version. I want to audit all my HBA's and make sure they are compatable with the Vseries we are implementing.

Can anyone shed any light on this?

thanks all in advance.

Re: Enumerating HBA Firmware

Depends on your adapter.

For Emulex See:

For Qlogic see:

Re: Enumerating HBA Firmware

SANscreen learns HBA firmware, model and driver info from most FC switches

Re: Enumerating HBA Firmware

Yes, SANscreen is very cool. It can do a lot more than determine firmware versions !

It is, however, an expensive enterprise product. Most clients do not have SANscreen.

The HUK has 'sanlun' which may give firmware versions.

I'd rather look at the drivers in ESX with hardware provider tools.
