No data in OnCommand 5.0 Dashboard

Hi all,

I have downloaded and installed OnCommand 5.0.

I installed it over the top of my previous DFM 4  server - install all went 100%  no errors.

I have made sure that SSL and HTTPS are configured as per instructions.

Ops Manager is working 100%  and the new 3.1 Management Console is also OK.

Only problem I have is that I am not getting any information showing up in the new OnCommand 5.0 Dashboard.

If I use the "add" button under "storage systems"  it just tkes me to Ops Manager and shows my existing systems.

Have I missed something ?

Hi Richard,

This is very unfortunate that dashboard is not showing any info after upgrading to OnCommand 5.0. Generally, OnCommand GUI takes little bit time to load the dashboard data.

Could you please check the OnCommand dashboard data after some time interval (one minutes or two minutes depends on monitored data ). If you still not able to see the dashboard data then could you please share the screenshot of the issue (No data on Dashboard ), if possible.

You cannot add the storage system from OnCommand because of that when you click on “Add” button under “storage System” then it takes you to operation manager where you can add the storage system to server. So, This is expected behavior.

Regards,

Gireesh

Hi Richard,

What is the browser version you are using ??

Supported Browsers:

Firefox 3.0

Firefox 3.5

Firefox 3.6

Have you install certificate in case of Https, ( if you are getting certificate error ).

Hi Richard,

Are you getting any errors on the OnCommand Console ? Can you get the output of dfm options list | grep -i http  from your DFM server ?

Please check that dfm http service is running.   If not, re-start http service.

# dfm service list

# dfm service start http

if problem persist. please stop and start "apache server" then stop and start dfm service.

[Mon Aug 22 00:34:22 2011] [notice] Disabled use of AcceptEx() WinSock2 API

remove the line Win32DisableAcceptEx from your httpd.conf file in directory Netapp\DataFabric Manager\DFM\conf  and try.

This is the HTTPS server certificate.

Run the below command on the DFM server CLI, to re-create the RSA private key with the updated data.

dfm ssl server setup

Richard,

Remove the line and restart the DFM Apache service from the windows services pannel. Or all the other dfm services as well. Removing the line ideally should get rid of this error.
