OCI 7.1.1 Brocade FOS 7.4.0a

Hello together,

This weekend we have updated some of our SAN Fabrics to FOS 7.4.0a and all the data sources within OCI stopped working.

Error message in the WEBUI: Error acquiring switch status: null

In the log_foundation of one of teh data sources we see teh following messages:

[foundation] FRD_Brocade_Sysman_Fabric1 - 10.166.8.154 - Error acquiring switch status: null

In the recording foundation we see the following entry:

ipaddrshow ag --modeshow version fosconfig --show fabricshow alishow nsshow -t switchshow switchstatusshow

Is there a patch available for brocade data sources? If yes, is there a download page, where I can get all the pacthes for different data sources?

Re: OCI 7.1.1 Brocade FOS 7.4.0a

Hey Matthias,

This is a known issue - FOS 7.4.0 retired a CLI command we use, so we needed to implement a workaround. There is a patch for OCI 7.1.1 that solves this

We are hoping to make some changes in the next version of OCI that will facilitate faster releases of data source service packs.

Individual data source patches are available through support

Re: OCI 7.1.1 Brocade FOS 7.4.0a

Hey Amanda,

Eventually, OCI data source patches get rolled into OCI Data Source Service Packs.

http://mysupport.netapp.com/NOW/download/software/sanscreen/ServicePacks/

If you are still running OCI 7.1.1, you want to look at deploying 7.1.1.3, aka SP3 for 7.1.1.

This will functionallty bring your OCI data collection capabilities up to the level of OCI 7.1.3

Another way of looking at it is that SP3 contains about 6 months of bug fixes, minor enhancements, and entirely new data sources
