Raja,

I want to thank you for sharing this with the community.

Having an easy go-to guide which shows you the differences and benefits to perform an upgrade, or load in the first place is excellent!

Thank you!

Christopher

Hello,

While testing this new functionality I am getting ODBC error when attempting to IMPORT some of the tables to either Access or Excel..

ODBC -- call Failed. [sybase][ODBC Driver][Adaptive Server Anywhere]Permission denied: you do not have permission to select from "%table name%" (#-121)

I am able to make a connection only to certain tables such as DFMGROUP_volumeView but for most of the table I ge permission denied.

Any ideas

Thanks

Rob

Hi,

Which specific tables are you getting this error for ?

Note that access is provided only to some tables (the ones with prefix DFMGROUP). For the list of such tables, pls check the Operations Manager Online Help (Help > General Help > Contents > Database Schema).

Thanks,

Raj.

Raja,

Thank you for the reply.. I am trying to get acces to the tables DFM.cifsshares & DFM.cifssharesAcl. I would like to enable my db user to get access to these tables.

Regards,

Rob.

Hi Rob,

DFM.cifsshares and DFM.cifssharesAcl are not currently available for database user access (only tables with DFMGROUP prefix are available). However, it will be available in the next release of Operations Manager.

Thanks,

Raj.

I wanted to be able to refer to the database schema offline. I grabbed the help files using wget from these URLs:

http://dfm:8080/help/db_schm_dfm_nhdata.htm

http://dfm:8080/help/db_schm_dfm_hist_data.htm

http://dfm:8080/help/rlnsp_amng_flds_vrs_db_vws.htm

Replace dfm:8080 with the address of your DFM server, obviously.
