snapvault can't see on Operation Manager

Hi all,

I create a snapvault on the filer, but I can't see that on Operation Manager. How can I do it to have the creation snapvault on the filer to appear on the Operation Manager?

Thanks for the help

Re: snapvault can't see on Operation Manager

You must have protection manager license/BCO license enabled in order to discover snapvault relationship. Also OM only discovers Qtree to Qtree snapvault relationship that are created using the physical filer/vfiler0 IP address.

Are the credentials for the source and destination filer been set ?

Also the Snapvault relationships will be discovered after 30mins as the snapvault monitor run every 30mins.

Thanks for your reply!!

How I can reduce the time of this discover?

Re: snapvault can't see on Operation Manager

You can modify the below option, but it is not advisable to modify the default monitoring interval.

# dfm option list|grep -i snapvaultMonInterval

snapvaultMonInterval                  30 minutes

Re: snapvault can't see on Operation Manager

Instead of changing the monitor interval, you can also use "dfm host discover src-name" and "dfm host discover dst-name" to force OnCommand to rescan both the source and destination storage systems. That will run in a few minutes.
