NetApp Innovation Day is our flagship platform to celebrate the spirit of innovation that drives IT leaders to strive for business excellence. During these events, we bring together some of the leading minds in enterprise IT to collectively celebrate innovation across the region. Through the NetApp Innovation Day, we want to also applaud the outstanding efforts of those who are using technology to positively impact lives whilst delivering a business advantage.
In February, we held the NetApp Innovation Forum in Tokyo which saw the gathering of the movers and shakers of our industry who are transforming the way our world works. This month in March, India hosted its 4th NetApp Innovation Day in Mumbai. This year’s theme focused on “Planting the Start-Up Gene in Enterprise IT – Accelerating Innovation”. The event was attended by more than 150 CIOs and start-ups.
In an age where new and agile business models are required for companies to maintain their competitive edge, the participants gathered to gain learnings in a panel session from start-ups and enterprise ITs on innovating in their industry while managing scale and processes. The panel consisted of business leaders from AWS, Cisco, VMware, L&T, Flipkart and Housing.com.
I thought I’d share with you some snippets from Anil and Rick’s recent speeches in India and how excited we are to be part of India’s digital transformation and future of innovation:
With inspirational leader and ex-Indian cricket captain, Kapil Dev (second from left)
“India is on the precipice of change. We are heralded as the start-up capital of the world and our ideas are just starting to come to life. The inspiration for NetApp Innovation Day 2016 here in Mumbai was to create an environment for conversation between the start-up community and the enterprise IT industry. Start-ups are agile by nature and they are disrupting existing business models as we know it. The challenge is for them to scale up after their initial stage of success which is where the expertise of the enterprise IT companies comes into play.” – Anil Valluri, President, NetApp India & SAARC
“It gives me immense pleasure to be at NetApp Innovation Day in Mumbai. I believe that India has the potential to become the innovation hub of the world and we’re extremely proud to have NetApp India as a strategic hub that houses the largest R&D centre for our organization. We are deeply committed to India and it is a key market for us.” – Rick Scurfield, President, NetApp APAC
Lee Caswell, VP of Product, Solutions and Services Marketing, delivers the keynote address on seven habits of enterprise start-ups
Digital Transformation is taking place across the globe and NetApp is driving the conversations among IT leaders around creating business and social value with advancing technologies.
