Mina Eng, Tech OnTap Editor
EDITOR'S NOTE
At NetApp, we’re committed to helping you succeed on-premises and in the cloud. In this month’s lead story, NetApp CTO, Jay Kidd, explains NetApp's vision of the Data Fabric and what that means for your data center.

We’re also continuing our series on deploying all-flash storage with a closer look at VDI, and are kicking off a new series of customer stories on clustered Data ONTAP deployments.

It’s with mixed emotions that I announce that after six years as editor of Tech OnTap, I’m handing over the reins to NetApp Managing Editor Cynthia Bournellis. I am moving into a content strategist role, focusing on other aspects of NetApp’s web presence and am very excited about the new opportunity. Cynthia not only brings years of editorial experience to the role, but she also has an eye for design and a passion for storytelling. Please welcome her.

NetApp’s vision of the Data Fabric combines efficient data transport, software-defined management, and a consistent data format across clouds to address this incompatibility. The Data Fabric lets you operationalize data across the hybrid cloud—increasing efficiency, and reducing risk/costs.
