Congratulations are in order. Once again, NetApp has been recognized as a “best-in-class” Microsoft partner, with two finalist spots at the Microsoft 2014 Partner of the Year Awards. It’s particularly exciting for me because this year the winners and finalists will be celebrated in my home-town of Washington, DC.
“Of the 3000+ entries for Partner of the Year Awards, your exceptional work clearly stood out to the judges. We hope you will take a minute t o congratulate your entire team on this achievement, and promote this success to your customers.”
--Phil Sorgen, Corporate Vice President, Worldwide Partner Group, Microsoft Corporation
This attainment is prestigious and very difficult to achieve. With more than 3,200 nominations from 112 countries and only 46 spots up for grabs, Microsoft is extremely selective in deciding one winner and only 2 or 3 finalists per category. We were deeply honored to be recognized again with terrific “winning together” stories of Microsoft and NetApp aligning to deliver business value with cloud solutions to our mutual customers through our partner channel. Our entry submissions spanned the globe. Many thanks to the NetApp team members who took time out of their busy schedules at our year end to bring us the “tales from the field” that led to Microsoft including us on the podium as a finalist.
Our entries included stories that highlight how we are winning using NetApp technology designed with business transformation in mind. In particular, we showcased organizations like German manufacturer Jack Wolfskin, Canadian global transportation leader, Eagle Copters, government services provider ActioNet, and King County’s shared infrastructure on FlexPod with Microsoft Private Cloud, realizing public sector with dramatic cost reductions and improved levels of service. It was especially gratifying, when looking at the complete list of winners and finalists, to note how many of those selected are also NetApp partners. Congratulations and well done.
Expect to see me at the Microsoft Worldwide Partner Conference in Washington in July. We will be reaching out to our partner community again to schedule meetings with you, to celebrate and to share news about some of the exciting new programs and solutions that NetApp will be sponsoring to continue to deliver value for in the coming year. Great job team – see you all in Washington!
