Tech ONTAP Podcast Episode 57: Scale Out Networking in ONTAP

Episode 57 - Scale Out Networking in ONTAP

This week on the podcast, we are joined by Juan Mojica (@juan_m_mojica), Product Manager at NetApp, for a technical discussion about scale out networking in ONTAP. We cover IP Spaces, broadcast domains and subnets, as well as some other tidbits to help you understand how the network stack works in your cluster.

Can you please do a podcast on Microsoft Hyper-v 2016 and Ontap 9 best practices and integrations?  Also will NetApp be releasing an updated FlexPod reference guide on Hyper-v 2016 in near future?

I think subnets can get really useful in combination with on-box DNS (if your network guys let you), which is a feature that's been in ONTAP long time, but many seem to be unaware of.

I'd like to hear Juan's thoughts about IFGRPs vs multiple automatically load-balanced LIFs. Also, do the automatic balancing processes consider direct vs indirect paths e.g. if you offer it multiple ports on every node? And does it play nice with automatic redirect (CIFS) and pNFS (again, multiple LIFs per node)?
