This utility looks awesome!  Would simplify failover/failback snapmirror relationships for our Hyper-V environment.  Wonder if this is part of the new Hyper-V Snapmanager. . . .  Anyone have any info on this?

Failback is first intended to integrate VMware vCenter to help for SRM failback.

Hyper-v should be a target later. If there is a market for hyper-v.

Cool. Thanks for the response. That will change to 95% Hyper-V and hopefully VMWARE will be phased out sooner rather than later, similar to what happened to Netescape during the Internet browser wars or OS2 with IBM.

A priori, NetApp decided to drop development of a dedicated failback plugin for SRM environments and instead focus on supporting SRM failback with the NetApp SRM adapter in the release of SRM that will support failback.  Expecting VMware to release a version of SRM with failback in 2010.
