We are looking at ways to debug slow datastores. Right now we are using a linux VM and standard linux disk speed tests on the local VM's disk, but does anyone know if a better way?
A reading of 25 or higher for DAVG in ESXTOP is a good indicator of a disk latency caused by the array. Not much use if you already know the problem is with the array....
