    <description>&lt;P&gt;Even though the question is directed to 'Ask the experts', but I can give some pointers.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;Emulex HBA or for that sake any vendor HBAs have nothing to do with Disk-shelves.&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;I suggest you to go toInteroperability Matrix page and verify that you have a supported combination of the following components for your Emulex HBA:&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&lt;A href="http://support.netapp.com/matrix" target="_blank"&gt;http://support.netapp.com/matrix&lt;/A&gt;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;1. ONTAP software&lt;BR /&gt;2. Host computer CPU architecture (for standard rack servers)&lt;BR /&gt;3. Specific processor blade model (for blade servers)&lt;BR /&gt;4. FC host bus adapter (HBA) model and driver, firmware, and BIOS versions&lt;BR /&gt;5. Storage protocol (FC)&lt;BR /&gt;6. Windows operating system version&lt;BR /&gt;7. Data ONTAP DSM for Windows MPIO&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Note: DS14 shelfs have past not only EOL but also EOSL (end of support life).&lt;/P&gt;</description>
