With the release of the AltaVault (formerly SteelStore) 4.0 family of appliances, users of existing SteelStore AMIs may want to consider migrating to this new release. Users intending to migrate will need to follow the migration instructions as outlined in Chapter 2 of the NetApp AltaVault Cloud Integrated Storage Installation and Service Guide for Cloud Appliances, which is one of the official publications available for AltaVault. This procedure will help users smoothly transfer from an older SteelStore AMI 3.x version to the AltaVault AMI 4.0 release.
