Hello All,

We want to test cloud backup service with On-prem cluster while using On-prem Connector as well.

Discovered our on prem cluster in cloud manager successfully and enabled backup. During provider setting it asked for amazon details it displays following message and doesn't showing anything in region drop down field.

"You Selected a different account and region than where your Cloud Manager system resides"

can any one please guide me in right direction here.

Thanks

Cloud Manager requires your AWS credentials to access instances hosted within your VPC. if it does not match up with the account, it cannot manage the instance.

We found the solution to this, that is you need to have your connector VM hosted in cloud as well (in our case its AWS). This enable cloud backup to connect on-prem cluster to S3 bucket and allow the process to take backups.
On-Prem connector was not working for this purpose so we went with on-cloud connector and it worked.

Thanks
