    <description>&lt;P&gt;That is correct. It's possible to exclude virtual machines only based on the filter list by cluster, datacenter or esx host (one of the three). A more granular exclusion of VM's is not possible at this time. A practical approach could be to move vm's that are to be excluded to a dedicated host or cluster or one that is to be excluded anyway.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Using Cloud Insights, is it possible to collect only a subset of virtual machines managed by Virtual Center?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;The documentation&amp;nbsp;&lt;A href="https://docs.netapp.com/us-en/cloudinsights/task_dc_vmware.html#advanced-configuration" target="_blank"&gt;https://docs.netapp.com/us-en/cloudinsights/task_dc_vmware.html#advanced-configuration&lt;/A&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;seems to indicate you can create a filter list, based on&amp;nbsp;&lt;SPAN&gt;CLUSTER, DATACENTER, or ESX HOST.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Does this mean it's possble to exclude virtual machines based on the above, but nothing more granualar like a VM Folder or an explicit list of virtual machines?&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;The licensing for Cloud Insights quickly adds up with lots of VMs, and not all may need monitoring.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;</description>
