NetApp Certification

Hello,
I am planning to do certification, i am already NCDA-7 Mode. Kindly guide which should i do first among the followings:
a. NSO-502 NetApp Certified Implementaion Engineer - SAN, 7-Mode

b. NSO-160 NCDA, ONTAP.
I am using 7-Mode and ONTAP as well, i am confused to do serial 'a' as 7-Mode might end up soon. 🙂

As far as I know, 7-Mode is scheduled to exit Limited Support on 12/31/2022, so it still has some time left. However, which certification makes sense for you highly depends on your personal situation. I don't work with 7-Mode myself on any of my systems, so it wouldn't make sense for me to pursue any 7-Mode certifications, but your mileage may vary depending on what type of systems you administer.

That being said, if it was me, I would focus on the certifications that are geared towards the ONTAP releases where the innovation is happening (so, not 7-Mode).

Start with (NS0-002) - https://www.netapp.com/us/services-support/university/certification/ncsa-hc.aspx

then do (NS0-160) - https://www.netapp.com/us/services-support/university/certification/ncda.aspx

After those go for the specialist ones

I wouldn't bother with 7mode ones.
