vol offline failing to offline a volume in 7 mode 8.1.4p1

Unable to offline a volume with below message in Netapp 7 Mode system, volume has no shares, no exports etc.

storage01> vol offline users01

The following prevents offline of volume users01

vol offline: Volume is in use by other operations. (users01).

when your triggering vol offline command can you check what it is logging in the messages file..?

no message on messages after the vol offline command only terminal it came up with above stated message. Nothing fishy on messages to offline this vol.

can you check :

set advanced or diag

filer*>ndmpd status

filer>backup status

if no NDMP or backup activity then best to do the failover & failback then give a try..(might be a hung process is not allowing to delete it)
