Making virtual Insight feel more like in-person events

Because we can’t be together in person this year, I thought it would be fun to share some ideas about making virtual events more like in-person ones. Do you have other suggestions? Add them in the comments.

Pretend you’re on a plane and watch a movie you missed from two years ago--on a very small screen. Take a nap in a chair wearing headphones and eye shades.
Recycle your favorite previous conference badge. Tape a picture of your favorite city on the back and wear it.
Label the rooms in your house with themed and numbered names. The living room can be Shores 1. Call the kitchen Mediterranean C.
Station your children or housemates in the hallway and have them announce “Breakfast is in Mediterranean C. This way to breakfast.”
Take out and put away coffee cups at odd times.
Meet friends or colleagues for zoom dinner. Get into a detailed technical debate and stay up way too late.
