Active IQ config advisor 5.8 Linux

I try to install Active IQ config advisor to linux. First it complains about port 8055 and then it get stuck on next step.

When installation is interrupted error message is cant execute script modify_ca.

Any idea how instalation should be done.

Hi @kimmosalo ,

For linux, once you extract the package

tar -zxvf ActiveIQ_ConfigAdvisor5.8_Linux64.tgz

Get into NetApp/ConfigAdvisor and launch once

./ConfigAdvisor

Kill the process and edit the CONFIG file at ~/NetApp/ConfigAdvisor/CONFIG. Edit the entry for port and save

PORT = 0.0.0.0:8055

Ensure port 8055 is open or use any available port in the Config. Launch again

nohup ./ConfigAdvisor &

Connect from remote system with browser using http://<ipof system>:8055

That was not the case here.

During installation I did sudo and use my own home directory, but was not working.

When I did do home directory for root and move packet there, then after sudo installation was OK.

Case solved now.

Hello,

I have the same problem on Windows server 2012 R2 standard. I can't resolve it.

Config advisor 5.4 works; 5.8 KO.

Does anybody help me ?

Could you please send the error you are seeing and the logs (found at <home directory>\ConfigAdvisorData\LogFiles) to ng-configadvisor-questions@netapp.com?
