Commands in snapcreator for Sybase

Hello All:

I'm have a question but the snapcreator for sybase; that commands running in snapcreator for sybase quiesce and unquiesce database?

Ulandon -

It's my understanding that there's two kinds of backup for Sybase -

1) DUMP DATABASE [and DUMP TRAN]

2) QUIESCE DATABASE [or ASE shutdown] with direct device copy.

Given the references in the SnapCreator Sybase plug in configuration documentation to TRAN dump directory, format, and compression, it looks like SnapCreator does a DUMP DATABASE backup, and does not do a QUIESCE DATABASE backup.
