Hi All,

This is Alfonso from NetApp - Spain.

I have a customer who would like to use SMO with several Oracle Databases running in an active-passive (failover, non-RAC) two-nodes Veritas Cluster over Solaris 10.

Choosing Snap Manager for Oracle as the Storage Solution in the IMT, I can see some clustering supported configurations using software from different vendors (HP Service Guard, Sun Cluster, Oracle Clusterware), but it seems VCS is not supported. Under Veritas I can only select the "SF Oracle RAC" component but not VCS.

These are the specific versions for each component:

- Solaris 10 (sparc) Update 6
- Oracle 10gR2
- VCS 5.0 (Veritas-5.0MP3-08) (Also VxVM + VxFS)
- Protocol FC
- Data Ontap 7.2.5.1P5

I was wondering if we have any plans to support VCS with SMO in the near future.
Should a PVR be used for such configurations?

Thanks a lot in advance,

Regards,
Al
