      <description>&lt;P&gt;Hi All,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;we are planning to implemetent the snapmanager for SAP for windows machine (Virtual Machine) and this Vm is running on NFS datastore.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;please let us know SMSAP is support the NFS or not for windows plantform.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

Refer &lt;A href="https://library.netapp.com/ecm/ecm_download_file/ECMM1279405" target="_self"&gt;SnapManager 3.0 for SAP Installation and Administration Guide&lt;/A&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;A FlexClone license is required to take full advantage of SnapManager with NFS databases. SnapManager uses the FlexClone feature to accomplish these tasks: • Mount backups of NFS databases • Verify backups of NFS databases • Clone NFS databases on page 264. Refer page 37 shows&amp;nbsp;FCP, iSCSI, NFS protocols as supported.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;Hi Sahana,&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;I have reffered which you have shared document in page 37, NFS/NFS datastore is&amp;nbsp;support only UNIX environment. &lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;IMT matrix also showing only FC/ISCSI protocols if you select the windows host NFS protocol grade out.&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;Please let us know whether VMDK file ie NFS datastore support or not for SMSAP.&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;if it is support could you please share&amp;nbsp;Matrix and installation procedure.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;Note: &lt;/STRONG&gt;If using NFS, ensure the file systems are mounted as&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;recommended in NetApp™ Best Practice Guidelines for&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Oracle® at &lt;A href="http://media.netapp.com/documents/tr-3369.pdf" target="_blank"&gt;http://media.netapp.com/documents/tr-3369.pdf&lt;/A&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;and NetApp SAP on UNIX and Oracle with NFS at&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;A href="http://media.netapp.com/documents/tr-3442.pdf." target="_blank"&gt;http://media.netapp.com/documents/tr-3442.pdf.&lt;/A&gt;&lt;/P&gt;</description>
