Hi,

Every so often we want to delete a snapshot from a volume.

The volume is (for example) a NFS datastore that is backed up along with other NFS datastores in a single SP job.

- Because the volume is backed up with other volumes in the same job, we don't want to age out the particular backup job as this would delete all associated snapshots from all volumes (datsastores in this example).

Can anyone advise on the behaviour if we purge a snapshot directly from a Volume?

- Will this cause any futture issues within SnapProtect/Simpana when creating additinal backups/snaps or when the aging job runs?

Hope this makes sense without being too wordy?

Cheers,
