Netapp VSC "failed to find VMWare snapshot"

Somewhere along the way VSC stopped working. Trying to set up a new backup job for all of the required entities. I'm getting a lot of "Failed to find VMWARE snapshot smvi" Honestly i did not set this system up and don't know where to start. Looking for a point into the right direction here in how to get this backup job up and running again.

Hello,

Thank you for reaching NetApp community, i would suggest start looking into VMTOOLS first because NetApp interacts with vmtools to take a snapshot.

May i know the version of VSC and VMTOOLS ?

Not sure if what i did was right or if it fixed went wrong but it did get the errors to go away and the backup job now states "Success". But anyways the way i fixed this was to go into netapp oncommand system manager and rename the snapshot "smvi_VSC-backup_novmsnap_recent" to "smvi_VSC-backup_novmsnap_20180306094732" and re-ran the backup. It complained about 2 more volumes so i repeated this for each volume it complained about and poof it looks like there are at LEAST no more errors. Whether or not the backup job is working as intended im not sure. Im still yet to figure out how to confirm that the backups are working. Between snap manager suite, VSC and all the other backups we have going on here it gets a little hazey for me.
