There is no provision from SnapCenter where you can set schedules for SnapMirror or SnapVault updates.

Currently, the user can only select the whether his backup needs to be updated on the secondary by checking the update options in the Policy section.

The updates to secondary will be triggered as soon as the backup operation completes (irrespective whether the backup was an On-demand or scheduled one)

SnapCenter 4.0 vSphere Plugin - How to update vault with other schedules?

Hello,

I am using SC plugin to take VSS snapshots for VMs and hence vault to secondary storage (FAS2620).

Flow of snapshots:

SC plugin initiated -> FAS8200 -> vault to two seperate FAS2620

(All FASs are ONTAP 9.3P4.)

For one of the vault relationships, I want to have different update time from the VSS snapshot time, such as 3 hours lag.

It seems I can only customize the SnapMirror labels by checking the box "Update SnapVault after backup" from the plugin policies. So I cannot uncheck the box and simply use the schedules from storage side.

Is there any way to delay the vault relationship updates?

Any advise would be greatly appreciated!
