remove a snapcenter policy or resource group

Only one question i create for each resource group 2 policies with retention 3 days and snapvault retention 30 days. So i have 8 of them . But now i decided to have only 2 policy so i create a new 2 one. and change by all resource groups the policy to new one.

When can i delete the older policies which are not active but the backups where there.

I think i have to wait 7 days? because the retention is 3 days all backups under first(old) policy will be removed.

Or have i wait the snapvault retention too?

is the same by resource groups?
