Snapmirror Synchronous license - ONTAP simulator

In the ONTAP 9.5 Simulator, the Snapmirror license includes "synchronous SnapMirror".

But when I configure a synchronous relationship the error is that the source cluster is not licensed for this feature.

Is an additional license needed?

My 9.5 simulator exhibits the same behavior. SnapMirror is licensed normally using the simulator license code, but SnapMirror Synchronous License shows as "No License Available".

Unfortunately, I don't have a solution, but at least you know it's not just your sim. 🙂

May have to do with minimum of 16GB of memory.

RTT should be less than 10ms.

any more ideas?
