Since they are in separate volumes I am going to assume that two separate jobs will have to be done. Have you opened a case to get confirmation? Here is what i found in the documentation about backing up NFS using SnapCenter

How SnapCenter backs up Windows file systems

SnapCenter uses Snapshot copy technology to back up Windows file system resources that reside on LUNs, CSVs (cluster shared volumes), RDM (raw device mapping) volumes, ALM (asymmetric LUN mapping) in Windows clusters, and VMDKs based on VMFS/NFS (VMware Virtual Machine File System using NFS).

SnapCenter creates backups by creating Snapshot copies of the file systems. Federated backups, in which a volume contains LUNs from multiple hosts, are faster and more efficient than backups of each individual LUN because only one Snapshot copy of the volume is created compared to individual Snapshots of each file system.

When SnapCenter creates a Snapshot copy, the entire storage system volume is captured in the Snapshot copy. However, the backup is valid only for the host server for which the backup was created.

If data from other host servers resides on the same volume, this data cannot be restored from the Snapshot copy.

To back up a database, you must use one of the database plug-ins.

Backup Oracle and NFS vol in same job?

Im wondering if there is a mechanism in the newer versions of SnapCenter to backup an oracle database and at the same time backup a related NFS volume.

We have an app with an Oracle back end, to get a proper application consistent backup we'd shut down the app, snapshot the oracle DB, and the NFS application at the same time (or as close as since its shut down at this point), then bring all the services back up. Now the stopping and starting of services we can use pre and post scripts in a policy...but do I really need to have two seperate jobs to backup one thing? There's got to be a way to manage it with one policy/job/setup....surely? We cant be in a unique position of wanting to this sort of thing.
